Crafting on the walls!!

Check out Karen's blog for a chance to win some blog candy until tomorrow. It's always so great to find a new place for inspiration and whatnot. She's even got some great links off of hers!

I have just finished doing Sarah's room (she's 13yo) as part of my crafty week and it turned out so great!! Horticulture green over 3 walls with lime green on the 4th and argyle in Deep Carnation. I also went to Benjamin Moore and bought these fabulous wall-pops and then Kristin suggested running them through my cricut and doing words...check out what I did!! Sarah is so thrilled and so am I! Thanks Kristin for the help and then for the great suggestions. I used the Home Accents and used Inspire, Live Love Laugh and Grow. The inspire and grow came with their own flourishes.

I also used the decorative pages and cut them into diamonds, using them randomly around the room.

NOTE: I had to take the pops off of the backing and onto an old-not-so-sticky-mat for the cricut, otherwise they slid everywhere.

It's been a long time since I posted on my craft blog. I've been so busy making things and then not taking pictures of them, so I'll tell you about them! I made very cool acrylic paint buckets for the teachers this year, sort of care packages for the summer. A bottle of wine, a couple of little books (you know "Stories, Jokes and Anicdotes", recipe books, travel mags), some homemade cards, a box of chocolates and a starbucks card. They were amazing, and the teachers were amazed! It always helps when they're amazed!!

There was Father's Day where I made my Dad the wallet card and put in a couple of Tim Hortons cards. He liked it alright.
That's it for now!! Happy Crafting!!

Creations!

My crafting has become more tuned lately as I have got a space to call my own with everything (or practically everything) close at hand. The other night when the Langs were here, Jenn and I ventured to the basement for some paper therapy (Jenn's description). We had found a great site of the North Shore Stamper quite by accident and were so excited to have found her! Angela is a new SU demo but has loads on her site!

Check out what we made!!! It's a purse card!! Very cool!

(I'm having technical difficulties and can't seem to upload the other card!!)
Then....last night we made the most awesome invites for Josh's upcoming 11th b'day party!!

New Paper!

It seems that I've been having a paper buying binge lately....and I love brads! Wherever I go, I buy some paper and of course brads! I have a totally great way of storing my brands and eyelets (thanks to Lee Valley Tools) so I guess that means I have to fill them up, right??!!

I've been on a scrapbooking hyatis lately but I've been making cards like crazy! Here's one that I made this morning. It been a fun day so far!

National Scrapbook Day!

Saturday May 3rd was NSD...what fun I had! Jenn Lang and I (with Kristin in spirit) scrap-store hopped! We met at 7:30am and travelled across the border to Bellingham. We went to 5 stores and did 2 of them twice!! We finished by coming back across the border at 1:00pm! What a fun day!! (A buggy was even required at the second store!!)

THEN..... the Langs joined the Stewarts at home for a perfect dinner of appy's and while the boys set off for the movies, the girls organized, cleaned, tidied and just generally got ready, the crafting/scrapping room!! This is what is looks like all finished!

Masculine Card

Well I have searched for sometime for a nice all-round masculine card. I have found a design that I like now and will use it until it's completely exhausted and then I'll have to find something else!!
It is SU cardstock in Old Olive, Sahara Sand and Really Rust. Stamps from SU: Canvas background (for the ripped SS) and Bon Appetite. Stamp pads in Old Olive, Sahara Sand and Basic Black. I used the cricut to cut out Happy Birthday. Watercolor pencils to color the cake and candle. Tied with a olive ribbon and attached with pop ups. YEAH! My first published card!

Mulan for Kristin

I had been asked by my Cricut cousin, Kristin, for a 5" Mulan for her girlie. Here they are...I couldn't decide which one was better so I did both!! I also did a Belle for Emma!

Adding a cricut and craft component

Hey there...whoever you are!

This is going to be the place that I save my crafting ideas and get stuff onto the web for future learning.

Today I did my first layered embellies...they're not too bad for the first time!
